We are looking for a creative and highly motivated individual to join our team!
Ideal candidates for this position:
- Will have 1-2 years of experience working with children and youth
- Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and social media sites, and be adaptable at learning new programs
- Library experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Primary duties for this part time position include:
- Creating and leading year-round programs for children and youth
- Creating and executing original displays in the children’s section of the library
- Promoting children’s programs by using marketing tools to create posters and designs for use on social media, in schools & businesses.
- Assisting patrons at the front desk by performing all functions of a library staff member, which includes checking materials in and out and assisting with reference questions
